Gregory Nolan is a registered architect and lecturer in the School of Architecture & Design. He is currently Director of the Centre for Sustainable Architecture with Wood (CSAW), a strategic research initiative of the School.
Research Interests
With a Master of Architecture degree in timber construction, Mr. Nolan is an experienced research manager, having directed and conducted industry funded work worth over $1.2 m in the last four years. In addition to directing the establishment and maintenance of the Timber Building in Australia Internet site, he has been directly involved in detailed analysis of the production sequence in the Tasmanian hardwood industry. This work has led to the recent trial of an electronic commerce system that automates collection and distribution of most product attributes between companies from the coupe to the final customer.
