Timber Flooring - Advanced Research into Floor Performance (Staff)

The focus of this research is on major areas of flooring failure and performance issues encountered from Western Australia through to Tasmania, Victoria and Queensland.

Sorting Plantation Eucalyptus Nitens Logs with Acoustic Wave Velocity (Staff)

Supervisors: Greg Nolan  Members: Ross Farrell
This project will determine whether Acoustic wave velocity (AWV) can be successfully used to batch plantation grown Eucalyptus nitens logs for improvement of structural grade out-turn.

Impact of Sapwood on the Properties and Market Utilisation of Plantation and Young Hardwoods (Staff)

Supervisors: Greg Nolan  Members: Ross Farrell
This research will enhance marketing strategies for Australian-grown hardwood products from regrowth and plantation resources by providing detailed physical and appearance properties of the heartwood and sapwood when ready for sale.

Australian Timber Windows Specification Guide Project (Staff)

Supervisors: Greg Nolan
The development of a technical design and specification manual for timber and composite timber doors and windows used in domestic and commercial construction forms the basis of this research.
